GHM 2026 Road Closures
We appreciate your continued support for this annual community tradition. Our participants’ safety is our number one priority. Please follow the traffic guidelines below and onsite course marshals and police to ensure our course is safe for all participants.
Please note that the times below are estimates and roadway access is not guaranteed at that exact time. We will work to open roads as quickly as possible.

Olio Road
4 a.m. – noon (full closure)
Olio Road will close between 116th Street and 104th Street. 116th Street will remain open east/west and all traffic can turn off 116th Street to head north on Olio.
Fall Creek Road/96th Street
7:10 – 10:50 a.m. (rolling closures)
Rolling closures will be in effect from the Springstone Road intersection to the Mollenkopf Road intersection beginning around 7:10 AM until approximately 10:50 AM.
Carroll Road/Fall Creek/96th Street & Yacht Club bridge intersection
7:30 – 10:50 a.m. (full closure)
This intersection will be closed traveling east/west. No westbound traffic will be permitted until the last Half Marathon participant crosses this intersection. Limited eastbound traffic will be permitted when no participants are present on the road onto 96th Street (approximately 8:45 – 10:25 a.m.)
Brooks School Road
7:30 – 10:30 a.m. (rolling closures)
Rolling closures will be in effect between the roundabout at Fall Creek Road/Brooks School Road and Club Point Drive. With police presence permitted, traffic will be allowed through the roundabout when runners are not present.
Mollenkopf Road
7:45 –- 9:15 a.m. (rolling closures)
Rolling closures will be in effect between 96th Street and Windemere Boulevard.
106th Street
7:30 – 9:45 a.m. (rolling closures)
Rolling closures will be in effect between Hoosier Road and Hawthorne Ridge beginning around 7:30 a.m. until approximately 9:45 a.m.
104th Street
7 – 10:50 a.m. (full closure)
The westbound lane of 104th Street, between Saddlestone Drive and Olio Road, will be closed beginning until approximately 10:50 a.m.
Neighborhood Closures
When driving in your neighborhood, please follow course marshal guidance and wait for permission to cross the course. No cones should be adjusted or moved to protect the safety of course participants.
We encourage neighborhoods along the course to cheer on participants from your driveway or yard!
Springs of Cambridge
· This neighborhood will see most participant traffic between 7:35 and 11:15 a.m.
· Race participants will begin entering Springstone Road from Olio Road around 7:35 a.m. and continue for the next hour. At the Olio and Springstone entrance, course marshals will allow traffic to continue straight onto 104th Street only. No southbound or northbound traffic will be permitted until noon when Olio Road is reopened.
· A second wave of participants will cross the southern neighborhood entrance at 96th Street between 7:45 and 8:20 a.m. During this time, if the course is clear, course marshals may allow vehicles to exit onto 96th Street for eastbound travel toward Olio Road only. No westbound traffic will be permitted while participants are present on 96th Street. Once you arrive at Olio Road and 96th Street, northbound traffic on Olio Road will stop at 104th Street until noon when Olio Road is reopened.
· Between 10:25 and 10:45 a.m., a third wave of participants will enter the southern entrance at 96th Street and Springstone Road heading north to Kingston Drive/Beam Ridge to Springstone Road. The northern neighborhood entrance at Springstone Drive and Olio Road will have limited traffic permitted to exit during this time while participants are on the course.
Mallard Lane
· Participants will be crossing 96th Street at 7:50 and continue until around 8:45 a.m. Follow instructions from course marshal and/or police instructions to travel eastbound only on 96th Street to Olio Road (600 W). Once you arrive at Olio Road, northbound traffic will stop at 104th Street until noon when Olio Road is reopened.
Fox Hollow
· The neighborhood exit onto Olio Road will remain closed for the duration of the race. Participants will cross 96th Street between 7:50 and 8:45 a.m. During this time, motorists can exit from Wading Crane Avenue with police permission when the course is clear. When runners have exited the area, Highland Springs will reopen as an exit. Please note that northbound traffic on Olio Road will stop at 104th Street until noon when Olio Road is reopened.
Highland Springs
· Race participants will cross 96th Street from 7:50 until around 8:45 a.m. During this time, motorists can exit North Highland Springs from the Fox Hollow neighborhood at Wading Crane Avenue and 96th Street, with permission from police and/or course marshals. Motorists may travel eastbound only from 96th Street to Olio Road (600 W).
· Those in Highland Springs south of 96th Street should exit from Crossfield Trail onto 600W/Olio Road. Please note that northbound traffic on Olio Road will stop at 104th Street until noon when Olio Road is reopened.
Canal Place, Hillsdale, Ambria & Villas at Geist
· Motorists may travel northbound on Olio Road until 104th Street for the duration of the race with permission from course marshals and/or police. No southbound traffic will be permitted along Olio Road while the race is in progress.
Windermere Pointe & Crosswinds at Windermere
· Participants will travel along Windermere Boulevard between 8 and 9:40 a.m., coming east in the eastbound lanes from Mollenkopf Road. During this time, the westbound lane of Windermere Boulevard will be open to allow exit onto Mollenkopf Road.
Chestnut Hill, Brooks Crossing & Bradford Court
· Participants will enter Hawthorn Ridge from 8:10 until approximately 10:05 a.m., coming east in the eastbound lanes of 106th Street and Hawthorn Ridge. During this time, the westbound lane of Hawthorn Ridge will remain open to allow for exit on Hawthorn Ridge and 106th Street.
Fairways at the Hawthorns, The Hawthorns & Turne Grove
· Participants will begin to enter the eastbound lanes of Club Point Drive heading west to the turnaround point from approximately 8:15 to 10:05 a.m. Participants will be directed back east by the tennis courts in the eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes will remain open during the race.
