Half Marathon
This hilly, waterfront half returns for its 18th year! This course is perfect for first-timers looking for a scenic race with great community support, or seasoned runners looking for a tune up race before a fall marathon. This beautiful and challenging course features multiple bridges across the water, stunning views of Geist Reservoir, and great community support from Geist neighborhoods. The Half Marathon course is USATF (United States of America Track & Field) Certified and Sanctioned. Pacers will be available.
Course Overview:
The race begins right after sunrise at 7:30 a.m. at the north end of the Olio Road bridge across Geist Reservoir, and heads south over the bridge. After crossing the bridge you will travel through waterfront neighborhoods and then across the water again along the 96th Street bridge. The course continues along Fall Creek Road with tree-covered trails and one last foot bridge before heading north and northeast through the Hamilton Proper neighborhood and golf course. Next, you will head south along Brooks School Road to retrace your steps across the water on the 96th Street bridge to a final push north along the Olio Road Bridge to your photo finish!

Half Marathon cutoff time: 11:00 a.m. (16 minute per mile pace or less)
Age Group Awards: We will be awarding the top 3 male and top 3 female age group finishers in the following age groups: 10-14 | 15-19 | 20-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60-69 | 70-79 | 80+.
