The City of Fishers is excited to be the new host of the 15th Annual Geist Race Across The Reservoir! With many successful years logged, the City is honored to co-produce this community-favorite event with Vision Event Management. Let's make 2023 the best year yet, here's what you need to know.
Race Day is Saturday, September 16, 2023 @ 7AM
- Located in Fishers, Indiana
- Distances Offered: Half Marathon & 5K
- 90 minute cut-off for the 5K, and 4 hours for the half marathon. This is a walker-friendly race!
Friday, September 15, 2023– Expo and Packet Pickup from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM / Grace Church- Fishers Campus (12450 Olio Road, Fishers IN 46037)
- Note: All race packets MUST be picked up on 9/15/23 unless you paid for the race day pick-up. No packets will be sent out via mail.
Saturday September 16, 2023– Race Day!
- 7:00 AM Start of all races
- 8:30 AM Cut-off for the 5K
- 11:00 AM Cut-off for the half marathon
Course Overview/Info
Along with pretty views of the water and nice, laid-back neighborhoods, the Geist courses have some hills. Nothing too dramatic, but don't expect board-flat either. See the course description page for maps and elevation charts.
Parking and Directions
On race day: There is NO parking at the start or finish areas! Please arrive early to avoid congestion! Free parking is available in the following locations: Fall Creek Intermediate School, Fall Creek Junior High, Fall Creek Elementary School, and Grace Church Fishers. There is NO parking Hamilton Southeastern High School, Kroger or Walgreens parking lots (enforced by Fishers police). Visit the directions and parking page for maps and detailed directions.

Gear Check
A race day gear check area will be available and monitored by volunteers, but we cannot guarantee the security of valuables, so please use common sense regarding what you check.
Cancelations/Transfers
Please be aware that ALL entries are non transferable and non refundable. Thank you for your understanding.
Weather Policy
We are a rain-or-shine event and plan to hold the race except in the most dire of situations. Safety is a top priority If a strong storm with lightning moves through, we may have to delay until it passes. We will only cancel the event if race officials and local law enforcement agree it is unsafe to continue, and the situation will not improve for the morning.
